Last Thursday I was reading in the April 2014 New Era  on page 5-an article by Russell M. Ballard of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles.  Under point number 5 (We Need to Know and Bear Testimony of Doctrine) he states:

‘We need the women of the Church to know the doctrine of Christ and to bear testimony of the Restoration in every way you can.  Never has there been a more complex time in the history of the earth.  Satan and his minions have been perfecting the weapons in their arsenal for millennia, and they are experienced at destroying faith and trust in God and in the Lord Jesus Christ among the human family…All of us…have the Lord and His Church to defend, to protect, and to spread throughout the earth.  We need more of the distinctive, influential voices and faith of women…Only you can show the world what women of God who have made covenants look like and believe.  Sisters, your sphere of influence is a unique sphere-one that cannot be duplicated by men.  No one can defend our Savior with any more persuasion or power than you, the daughters of God…the power of a converted woman’s voice is immeasurable, and the Church needs your voices now more than ever.”

I don’t know what you felt when you just read that, but I felt like I received my final marching orders to publish this blog.  I ignored the inspiration for years and I finally got pushed over the edge.  

What edge are you standing on?  What small, powerful thing are you being prompted to do?  It is time for covenant women to stand up and be heard.  We each have a covenant obligation to ‘stand as witnesses at all times and in all things and in all places.’   If ALL of US  lift where we stand, then there WILL be a witness at ALL TIMES, in ALL THINGS and in ALL PLACES because you in your sphere and me in my sphere and women the whole world over in their sphere will COVER the earth with the witness and truth of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.  “The veil o’er the earth is beginning to burst…” (The Spirit of God, Hymn # 2)  Let’s go ladies.
